Get ready to explore New Haven’s legendary pizza scene aboard your own private Elm City Party Bike! Our 2-hour private Pizza Crawl accommodates groups of 8–15 guests and lets your group create your own pizza adventure.
You’ll select your pizza stops in advance from a list of New Haven favorites we’ll send you, including iconic pizzerias and local pizza spots throughout Downtown, Wooster Square, and East Rock/State Street. Choose the locations that sound best to your group, and we’ll review your selections to make sure the route and timing work well for your tour. Once your stops are confirmed, we’ll provide the pickup times and ordering instructions. You can also replace one pizza stop with a dessert or drink stop if you’d like.
As you cruise through the city, your group will pick up your pizza takeout along the route and enjoy it right on the bike while socializing, sightseeing, listening to your favorite music, and enjoying your own BYOB experience. Pizza is not included with the tour. Your group will place orders directly with the locations you choose and pay them directly.
Anyone consuming alcohol must be 21+ and provide a valid government-issued ID. Riders under 21 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for supervising any underage guests. We recommend riders be 12 years or older due to the active nature and length of the tour.

Come hungry and get ready to experience New Haven’s legendary pizza scene from the seat of the Elm City Party Bike! Our public New Haven Pizza Tour is a guided 2-hour adventure featuring three of the city’s favorite pizza destinations, two slices at each stop, and plenty of New Haven history and culture along the way.
Sold by individual ticket, the tour is led by Taste of New Haven’s pizza guru Colin M. Caplan who will share stories about New Haven’s pizza traditions, neighborhoods, landmarks, and the people who helped make the city a pizza destination. At each stop, we’ll pick up your pizza and bring it back to the bike, where you’ll enjoy it with the rest of the group while socializing and enjoying the Party Bike experience.
This high level pizza tasting experience features one the country’s foremost pizza history experts, Colin M. Caplan, Taste of New Haven founder, author of Pizza in New Haven, producer of Pizza a Love Story, and the man behind New Haven being declared the Pizza Capital of the United States! Guests will taste six slices of cheese pizzas from the Holy Trinity of pizzerias: Sallys Apizza, Frank Pepe Pizzeria & Modern Apizza, pedaling from one stop to the next. We’ll learn about the history of New Haven’s pizza, the style, ovens, lore, culture & families that put New Haven on the map for great pizza.
Pizza is included with your ticket. Bring your own beer, cider, wine, hard seltzer, or canned cocktails and enjoy your BYOB while our driver and host keep the good times rolling.
